About Me

A little history...

After the birth of my son, I suffered badly from post-natal depression and chronic anxiety. The condition consumed my life for seven years. I saw shrinks, took tablets and to be honest none of them really worked and even though the medication kept my head above water, I didn't want to be reliant on anti-depressants and I wanted to take control of my situation without the use of prescribed drugs.

I have smoked cannabis before for recreational use, but have never considered it as a 'cure' for my illness. After all, I have heard all the horror stories about marijuana and mental health. Then 4 years ago, I met someone who has been growing his own cannabis plants to self-medicate anxiety and depression. He told me about the different strains of cannabis plants that have different effects and use.

I was pretty ignorant and thought that all cannabis plants were all the same. I read more about it and found out that there are strains that can help with anxiety and depression. From then on I started to educate myself and along with the guidance of my good friend I started to grow my own.

Why I Started Queenie Kush ...

I wanted to share my experience. I'm still learning, but have found that by self-medicating I have control over my anxiety and depression.

It's what works for me.

By far am not an expert but I wanted to let people know that there is a natural option. It's been 4 years since I gave up anti-depressants and I have never looked back. For me there's a great satisfaction in growing my own and knowing that I am in control when it comes to my mental health.

More About Me...

I am a creative professional and I run my own business. I am lucky to live on the coast of the Mediterranean. I love bohemian lifestyles, traveling, spending time with family and nice days out at the beach.

What To Expect From My Blog...

As well as posting about growing my own, I also like to talk about lifestyle, home life and creative things. I'd like my readers to have a little insight about my life (it's pretty normal and boring most of the time), but it will also help you to get to know me a little bit better. 😊

*I am not a medical professional and my posts are personal to my experience.
